1947
Hand-forged in America, by the same family, since 1947
What began as wrought-iron gates for Southern California's grandest estates became four generations of handcrafted outdoor furniture — still built, weld by weld, in O.W. Lee's own American workshop.
"From the discipline of service to the discipline of the forge."
O.W. Lee honors its founder, Oddist W. Lee, as a United States Navy veteran who carried a serviceman's standards into everything he built. As a fellow veteran-owned business, it's a heritage we're especially proud to represent.
Four generations. One forge. One uncompromising standard.
In 1947, Oddist W. Lee opened a wrought-iron workshop in Pasadena, California, hand-forging ornamental gates for the grand estates of Southern California. When those same clients began asking for furniture, a casual-furniture icon was born — and nearly 80 years later it's still owned and run by the Lee family.
A forge in Pasadena
Oddist W. Lee begins hand-forging wrought-iron gates for the luxurious estates of Southern California.
From gates to furniture
As estate owners ask for more, Oddist designs and sells patio furniture directly, incorporating as the O.W. Lee Company.
A family honored
Second-generation owners Bob and Beverly Lee receive the ICFA Lifetime Achievement Award for their contributions to the industry and their community.
Four generations strong
Led by the third and fourth generations of the Lee family, O.W. Lee designs and builds every piece in its 450,000-sq-ft workshop in Comfort, Texas.
Metal, shaped by hand and built to a 20-year standard
O.W. Lee works in hand-forged wrought iron, aluminum, and steel — materials shaped, welded, and finished by craftspeople rather than machines alone. The result is furniture engineered to be lived on hard and handed down, backed by one of the strongest warranties in the category.
Hand-Forged Metalwork
A direct descendant of the founder's ironwork — wrought iron, aluminum, and steel shaped and welded by hand for strength that lasts generations.
An Industry-Leading Warranty
Backed by roughly 20 years on structural frames and 5 years on finishes, porcelain tops, and cushions — confidence few makers will match.
Comfort-First Design
Deep, plush cushions in premium weather-resistant fabrics, engineered so a piece is as comfortable as it is durable.
Made to be refinished, not replaced
The most sustainable furniture is the kind you never have to throw away. O.W. Lee builds pieces that can be refinished and passed down for decades — and manufactures them with a genuine commitment to its materials.
