In 1906, inventor Marshall B. Lloyd founded the Lloyd Manufacturing Company in Menominee, Michigan. A decade later he invented the Lloyd Loom — a weaving breakthrough that did the work of thirty craftsmen and made Menominee famous the country over. More than a hundred years later, that same loom still runs in that same factory, and every piece is still finished by hand.

The company is born
Marshall B. Lloyd opens the Lloyd Manufacturing Company in Menominee, Michigan, and develops a unique process for weaving fine furniture.
1917
The Lloyd Loom is patented
His revolutionary loom is patented, making Lloyd the world's largest producer of woven goods and putting a small Michigan town on the map.
1982
The Flanders era begins
Flanders Industries acquires the original Lloyd Looms and the historic facility. Production resumes as Lloyd Flanders the following January.

It's stretched over welded aluminum frames, hand-finished with stainless-steel staples, and sealed in the brand's proprietary Durium® polyester coating, built to live outdoors through every season.
